Job Position Module – Overview

Description

Job Position lets HR users formalize a job requisition — title, company, description, requirements — and persist the matching criteria used to search for candidates against it, so a search can be saved, reused and extended over time rather than run once and forgotten.

Job Position is built directly on top of Match: it uses Match's search and ranking engine under the hood, and adds the anagraphic layer (positions, referents, status) plus an additional discovery mode, Affinity, aimed at scoring a predefined shortlist of candidates rather than searching the whole database.

  • Reusable: matching criteria are saved once on the position and reused, instead of being redefined at every search.
  • Traceable: every position keeps a consistent, auditable record of who was found, scored, and evaluated, and how.
  • AI-assisted: from a free-text role description, the AI can directly generate the position's name, job area, description, and matching criteria.

How It Works – High-Level Workflow

  1. Create a position with its core details and at least one matching filter (seniority, education, skills, languages, protected category).
  2. Search candidates — either via Match (the position's saved filters run against the tenant's candidate database) or via Affinity (selected candidate batches are scored against the position's requirements).
  3. Associate results — confirmed candidates are linked to the position with an automatic score (ranking for Match, Affinity score for Affinity).
  4. Evaluate — HR adds manual ranking, interview notes, and moves each candidate through a status pipeline (New → Interview → Evaluation → Offer → Hired, or Not Eligible).
  5. Re-run over time — searches can be repeated as the pipeline evolves; previously associated candidates keep their manual evaluation data while their automatic score is refreshed.

Ideal Use Cases

  • HR teams managing multiple open roles who need a persistent, shareable record of each position's criteria and candidate pipeline.
  • Recruiters evaluating externally-sourced shortlists (e.g. from batch uploads or referrals) against a position's requirements, via Affinity.
  • Organizations wanting AI-assisted position authoring, generating the name, area, description, and matching criteria directly from a natural-language request.
  • Match Module — the search and ranking engine Job Position builds on.
  • Screen Module — produces the structured candidate profiles Job Position searches.
  • User Guide — Job Position — step-by-step instructions for creating positions, running searches, and managing candidates, including the full Match vs. Affinity comparison.
