Standardization
BeTalent's API relies on well-established classification frameworks to normalize candidate profiles. These standards will also be adopted by other APIs currently under development. See here for more information about the professional categories currently supported.
ISCED
The International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) is a UNESCO framework for categorizing education levels. We apply ISCED to classify the education sections of candidate CVs in our CV Screening API. Learn more about ISCED
CEFR
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) describes language proficiency on a standardized A1–C2 scale. We use CEFR to tag and filter candidates by language skills in our CV Screening API. Explore the CEFR framework
ESCO
The European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) classification provides a multilingual taxonomy of skills and occupations. We leverage ESCO to normalize and match candidate skill sets in our CV Screening API. Visit the ESCO portal
WAG
The Weighted Average Grade (WAG) method computes a candidate’s overall academic performance by weighting individual course grades. We employ WAG to compare academic records uniformly in our CV Screening API. Read about WAG calculations
For details on how these standards appear in requests and responses, see the CV Screening API overview. Other APIs will incorporate these frameworks as they come online.
